al-Qaṣīda al-Muḥammadiyya (القصيدة المحمدية), “The Muhammadan Ode”, is a luminous Arabic poem written by the 13th-century Egyptian sage Imam al-Būṣīrī, famed author of the Qaṣīdat al-Burda. Like the Burda, the Muḥammadiyya is a heartfelt tribute to the Prophet ﷺ, distinguished by its concise form and unique structure: each verse begins with the name “Muḥammad”, followed by a praise-worthy attribute that reflects his noble character, radiance and exalted rank. Revered across the Muslim world, it is frequently recited in spiritual gatherings—sometimes as a shorter alternative to the Burda, or as a concluding addendum at the end of its recital.
